Removal
NOTE: For clarity, this process is shown with the gearbox removed.
Move the selector to position "P".
Unscrew the cap nut 4.
Remove cover 3 from the gear selection rod.

Carefully bend back the hooks of the lock washer 1 using a screwdriver.
If one hook is broken, the washer must be replaced.
After this, remove nut 2 and lock washer 1 from the gear selector rod.
Disconnect the plug from the F125 multifunction switch.
Remove bolts B and remove the multifunction switch from the gear selector shaft.
Installation and adjustment
Set the gear selector lever/stem on the transmission to the "N" position.
Connect the F125 multifunction switch to the gear selector shaft.
Tighten the mounting bolts of the F125 multifunction switch by hand.
Install the T10173 adjusting device on the gear selection rod (Fig. 3.81).

Disconnect the selector linkage.
Turn the multi-function switch A so that the nose of the plug 1 is fixed in the groove of the adjusting device T10173.
Tighten the F125 multifunction switch mounting screws to 6 Nm.
Now remove the adjuster T10173 from the gear selector shaft.
Connect the selector rod.
Further installation is carried out in reverse order.
Check the selector linkage adjustment.
