Removing
1. Switch off ignition and remove a wire of weight from the accumulator.
2. Remove the airbag from the center of the steering wheel.
3. Set the steering wheel to drive straight ahead.
4. Unscrew the central mounting bolt (2) steering wheel (1) and remove the steering wheel.
5. Unscrew two screws from the lower casing of a steering column, see fig. The location of the screws in the lower casing of the steering column.
6. Remove the top cover (1) steering column, see fig. The location of the screws in the lower casing of the steering column.
7. Unscrew four screws fixing the bottom casing of a steering column, see fig. The location of the screws securing the lower casing of the steering column.
8. Using a hex wrench, unscrew the screw (1), see fig. The location of the screws securing the lower casing of the steering column.
9. Remove the lower casing of a steering column.
Loosen the multifunction switch mounting bolt on the steering column.
10. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the multifunction switches. Be aware that the coil spring remains on the steering column multifunction switch, so do not rotate the spring from the middle position when removing.
11. Remove the multifunction switches.
Installation
Setting the multifunction switch
- 1 - steering wheel,
- 2 - multifunction switch,
- 3 - switch mounting bolt,
- a = 3 mm
1. Install the multifunction switch to the steering column, but do not tighten the multifunction switch mounting bolt at this stage.
2. Install the steering wheel.
3. By moving, set the multi-function switch (2) in such a position that the distance (A) between steering wheel (1) and multifunction switch was 3 mm, see fig. Setting the multifunction switch.
4. Remove the steering wheel and install the lower and upper steering column covers.
5. Install the steering wheel.
6. Install the airbag in the center of the steering wheel.
7. Connect ground wire to battery.
