Proper headlight adjustment is essential for driving safety. Fine adjustment is only possible with a special instrument.
When adjusting the headlights, the fog lights are also adjusted.
The headlights are adjusted using screws that can be accessed through holes in the top of the headlight, see fig. The location of the holes for adjusting the headlights in a horizontal (1) and vertical (2) planes.
The inner screw is for vertical headlight adjustment and the outer screw is for horizontal adjustment.
When adjusting the headlights, the following conditions must be met:
- tire pressure should be within the normal range,
- only the driver must be in the car,
- the fuel in the fuel tank must be more than 90%,
- The vehicle must be parked on wheels on a flat, level surface
- before adjusting, it is necessary to shake the car body so that all suspension elements fall into place,
- set the headlight range control to position 0,
- adjustment is made only low beam headlights. The slope of the luminous flux of the headlights is 10 cm at a distance of 10 m, i.e. 1%.
