Removal



1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

2. Remove the driver's airbag.

3. Remove the lower cover of the switches on the steering column.

4. Disconnect the wiring connector (arrow) from the installation block (fig. 12.26).

5. Disconnect the wiring connector from the steering lock switch.

6. Loosen the steering wheel mounting nut, set the steering wheel to the straight-ahead position and remove it.

7. Remove the upper cover of the switches on the steering column.

8. Remove the mounting screws (arrows) (fig. 12.27).

9. Disconnect the wiring connectors from the turn signal, wiper and washer switches.

10. Remove the multifunction switch assembly from the steering column.

Installation



11. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
