Clutch parts and assemblies for vehicles with 1.4 l petrol engine
- 1 - Dual-mass flywheel, make sure that the centering pins fit securely, there should be no grooves, oil stains and traces of grease on the contact surface of the clutch linings
- 2 - Clutch disc, replaceable only with SAC pressure plate
- 3 - Pressure plate SAC, SAC means "self-adjusting clutch", can only be replaced in conjunction with a clutch disc
- 4 - Bolt M6, 13 Nm, bolt M7.20 Nm, tighten and unscrew the bolts crosswise, turning each time at a small angle
Clutch parts and assemblies for vehicles with turbocharged diesel engine and vehicles with 2.0 l petrol engine
- 1 - Dual-mass flywheel, make sure that the centering pins fit securely, there should be no grooves, oil stains and traces of grease on the contact surface of the clutch linings
- 2 - Clutch disc, replaceable only complete with pressure plate
- 3 - Pressure plate with adjustment mechanism, can only be replaced in conjunction with a clutch disc
- 4 - Bolt M6, 13 Nm, bolt M7, 20 Nm, tighten and unscrew the bolts crosswise, turning each time at a small angle
Removing
Remove gearbox. Use stop -3067- when removing bolts. Unscrew the bolts crosswise, turning a small angle each time. When unscrewing the bolts, the tab -2-, pressed against the clutch basket with a screw, should no longer be fixed on the flywheel. If this does not happen, push the head of the screw towards the dual-mass flywheel. Remove pressure plate and clutch disc.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
Instruction. The pressure plate and clutch disc are selected in accordance with the engine code. Check whether the centering sleeves are inserted into the cylinder block (for the correct alignment of the engine and gearbox). In the absence of centering sleeves, it is difficult to shift gears, the clutch does not work well and noise may occur (gears freely rotating on the shafts make noise).
Mounting position of the clutch disc
Marking "Getriebeseite" and protruding springs to the gearbox.
Checking the condition of the ends of the petals of the diaphragm spring
Wear of up to half the thickness of the diaphragm spring fins -arrows- is permissible.
Checking flat springs and their riveted joints
Make sure the flat springs installed between the pressure plate and the casing (basket) clutch, do not have cracks, and their riveted joints - backlash. Pressure plate with damaged flat springs or loose rivets -arrows- must be replaced.
Use stop -3067- when installing. Install pressure plate on dowel pins. Screw all bolts by hand until their heads are pressed against the pressure plate. Then tighten the bolts crosswise, turning them slightly each time, being careful not to damage the centering holes of the pressure plate and the centering pins of the dual-mass flywheel. Install gearbox.
