27. Clean the housing and check for damage or cracks. If there are obvious damage or cracks, the housing must be replaced, but in this case it is necessary to adjust the differential mechanism.
28. Remove the seal from the internal release lever. If the lever cannot be removed, it is necessary to lubricate the edge of the new seal, and then press it perpendicularly into the body until it is aligned with the edge of the sleeve. To remove the lever, unscrew and remove a - pin, b - extend the lever; c - knock out the cases with a soft metal punch; d - insert a new sleeve sleeve of the lever from the housing, and then lubricate the friction surfaces with grease and install the lever in reverse order.
29. Unscrew the speedometer gear bushing and remove the gear wheel. Check all elements for wear or replace if necessary. Insert the gear wheel and then tighten the bushing.
30. Check the starter sleeve in the housing. If necessary, remove it and then press in a new bushing using a soft metal punch. The bushing does not need to be lubricated.
31. Check the output shaft needle bearing and, if necessary, remove it with a puller. Support the housing and drive in a new bearing.
32. Check input shaft needle bearing. To remove it, you need to remove the seal, and then knock out the bearing from the outside of the box with a soft metal punch. Support the housing and drive in a new bearing. Lubricate the edge of the new seal, and then, using a metal tube, drive it perpendicularly into the housing until it stops. The seal should be 2.5 mm below the housing surface.
