27. Clean the housing and check for damage or cracks. If there is obvious damage or cracks, the housing must be replaced, but in this case, the differential mechanism must be adjusted.

28. Remove the seal from the internal release lever. If the lever cannot be removed, lubricate the edge of the new seal and then press it perpendicularly into the housing until it is aligned with the edge of the bushing. To remove the lever, unscrew and remove a — the pin, b — extend the lever; in - knock out the housings with a soft metal punch; g - insert a new bushing into the lever bushing from the housing, then lubricate the rubbing surfaces with grease and install the lever in the reverse order.

29. Unscrew the speedometer gear bushing and remove the gear. Check all components for wear or replace if necessary. Insert the gear and then tighten the bushing.

30. Check the starter bushing in the housing. If necessary, remove it and then press in a new bushing using a soft metal punch. The bushing does not need to be lubricated.

31. Check the output shaft needle bearing and, if necessary, remove it with a puller. Support the housing and drive in a new bearing.

32. Check the input shaft needle bearing. To remove it, remove the seal, then use a soft metal punch to knock out the bearing from the outside of the box. Support the housing and drive in a new bearing. Lubricate the edge of the new seal, then use a metal tube to drive it perpendicularly into the housing until it stops. The seal should be 2.5 mm below the housing surface.
