Removal
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. Remove the main timing belt.
3. Remove the adapters with high-voltage wires.
4. Disconnect the four-pin wiring connector from the ignition coil.
5. Disconnect the wiring connector from the Hall sensor.
6. Unscrew the bolt (arrow) securing the wiring harness retainer (fig. 4.9 a).
7. Unscrew the rear timing belt cover mounting bolt (near the right lifting eye).
8. Unscrew the camshaft housing mounting bolts, starting from the outer ones, in a crosswise order and remove them.
9. Carefully remove the camshaft housing.
Installation
10. Remove any remaining sealant from the contact surfaces of the cylinder head and camshaft housing.
11. Apply sealant to the contact surface of the camshaft housing (fig. 4.9 b).
12. Make sure that the roller rocker arm has entered into contact with the end of the valve stem 1 correctly and is secured on the tappet 2 (fig. 4.9 in).
13. Screw two studs (M6x70) into the cylinder head before installing the camshaft housing.

14. Carefully install the camshaft housing onto the cylinder head studs and guide pins (arrows) (fig. 4.9 g).
15. Tighten the new camshaft housing mounting bolts (from internal to external in a crosswise order). Make sure that the camshaft housing is not warped. Tightening torque: 10 Nm + 1/4 turn.
16. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
