Removal



Remove the timing belt and camshaft gears.

Unscrew the inner part of the 3240 oil seal puller a few turns from the outer part and secure with a knurled bolt.

Lubricate the threaded head of the puller with engine oil, apply it and, pressing it firmly, screw it as deep as possible into the seal.

Loosen the knurled bolt and rotate the inside of the puller against the camshaft until the seal is removed (fig. 2.120).

Clamp the seal puller in a vice along the flat edges. Use pliers to remove the seal.

Installation



Apply the oil seal using the mandrel 3241/1 and the bolt 3241/6 and press it in until it stops (fig. 2.121).
