Removing
Remove the engine.
Separate the engine and transmission.
Remove the drive disk.
Remove the oil pan.
Remove the flange (pic. 2.103) from the cylinder block.
Remove the old gasket.
Installation
NOTE: In the job description below, the O-ring is shown without a flange.
NOTE: In case of repair, the flange must be replaced complete with O-ring. For installation, use the support sleeve included in the kit.
Clean the seating surfaces of the flange and cylinder block. They must be free of oil and grease.
Wipe off any remaining oil on the crankshaft journal with a clean rag.
Install a new gasket 1 on the fitted bushings in the cylinder block (pic. 2.104).
Push the O-ring together with flange A with its outer side through the T10122/1 sleeve onto the T10122/2 tightening sleeve.
Disconnect both mounting sleeves.
Then put the tightening sleeve T10122 / 2 with a dry sealing ring on the connecting rod journal of the crankshaft (pic. 2.105).
Screw the flange to the cylinder block. Tightening torque: 10 Nm.
Install the oil pan.
Install the drive disk.
Install the engine.
