- loosen and remove the drive belt on the front of the engine;

- remove the top protective cover 4 (pic. 106) drive belt;
Pic. 127. Location of the TDC mark
- turn the engine so that the first cylinder is in the TDC position. The TDC mark must be located opposite the mark on the camshaft pulley (pic. 127);
- mark the direction of the drive belt with the colored arrow, loosen the drive belt tensioner (see point 3.7.1), remove the drive belt and tie it so that it cannot slip off the camshaft pulley. Now the engine crankshaft cannot be rotated;
- fix the camshaft pulley in a stationary position (e.g. using an old timing belt), unscrew the mounting bolt and remove the camshaft pulley;
- using nippers, remove the segment key from the camshaft;
- screw the pulley bolt with washer as far as possible into the end of the camshaft;
Pic. 128. Puller 2085 camshaft oil seal: And - the inside of the puller 2085; B - set screw
- remove the oil seal from the camshaft using a puller 2085 (pic. 128), For what:
- back out 2 turns (about 3 mm) the inner part A of the puller and fix this position with the set screw B;
Pic. 129. Removing the camshaft oil seal using a puller 2085
- lubricate the threaded head of the outer part of the 2085 puller, insert and then screw it into the stuffing box (pic. 129);
- loosen set screw B (pic. 128) and screw the inner part A into the camshaft in such a way as to remove the oil seal;
- clamp puller 2085 in a vise and use nippers to remove the oil seal.
When installing the oil seal, lubricate the sealing surface with engine oil (the rolling surface of the camshaft should also be lubricated) and make sure that the side of the stuffing box on which the spring is located is directed into the cylinder head. To install the stuffing box, you can use a pipe, which must fully match the size of the outer part of the stuffing box. Put the seal straight (without distortion) and press it in until its outer surface is completely inside. You can also install the oil seal in the manner described in paragraph 3.6.4 for a new crankshaft front oil seal;
