- loosen the poly V-belt by screwing a bolt into its tensioner and remove the poly V-belt (see subsection 3.8);
- support the engine by placing a car jack under it, unscrew the four bolts of the engine mount support;

- unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the upper part of the protective cover 4 (pic. 106) toothed belt;
- mark the position of the crankshaft pulley 15 or vibration damper in relation to the crankshaft gear;
- turn on the fifth gear, set the car to the parking brake and unscrew the bolts securing both pulleys, or, respectively, the vibration damper. The latter can only be installed in one position so that the holes are aligned;
- unscrew the fastening bolts and remove the lower part 8 of the protective cover of the toothed belt;

- loosen the tension roller axle nut (pic. 149) and turn it to a position in which the toothed belt will be as loose as possible;
- mark the direction of movement of the toothed belt on its outer side (marker) and remove the belt from the pulleys.
Attention! After removing the toothed belt, it is not allowed to rotate the camshaft.
