The manual transmission does not require much action during the inspection.
1. Check for oil leaks in the gearbox. To do this, you need to install the car above the viewing hole (if possible) or pick it up and put it on stands. Then you need to check for signs of serious oil leaks from the gearbox. An oil leak from the transmission must be identified and, if severe enough, repaired immediately. A small amount of leakage is acceptable provided regular checks are made to check and to maintain the correct oil level in the gearbox. Transmission oil leaks should not be confused with engine oil leaks, which can leave marks on the gearbox housing.
2. Check the oil level in the gearbox. To do this, the car must be installed on a horizontal surface. It is necessary to unscrew the oil level fill plug from the gearbox and check if the oil level reaches the bottom of the fill hole. If not, you need to add oil and wrap the plug back.
