Removal and installation the clutch master cylinder (VW Tiguan 1)

Remove the support bracket. Remove the master cylinder rod socket from the clutch pedal by squeezing the locking tabs with T10005 pliers.



Place the spacer "A" between the clutch pedal and its stop and press the pedal. The length of the spacer = approximately 40 mm (you can use, for example, a 1/2 inch socket head). Unlock the lock "B" and remove the clutch master cylinder from the support bracket "arrow 1" and "arrow 2".

Installation

Move the clutch pedal all the way back to its original position (towards the driver). Place socket "2" onto rod "1" of the clutch master cylinder.



Place spacer "A" between the clutch pedal and its stop and press the pedal. The length of the spacer = approximately 40 mm (you can use, for example, a 1/2 inch socket head). Insert and secure the clutch master cylinder into the support bracket "arrow 1" and "arrow 2".





Fix the socket "2" in the clutch pedal by pulling the rod "1" of the clutch master cylinder in the direction of the arrow. A characteristic click indicates the reliability of the fastening. Install the support bracket.
