Through all nozzles, heated or unheated (depending on the position of the handle A) air.
The distribution of the air supply to the nozzles is determined by the position of the knob C.
Additionally, nozzles 3 and 4 can be opened or closed individually.
Nozzle closed: side dial on .
Nozzle open: side dial on .
Depending on the position of the dial, the air flow changes its direction in height.
If you turn the dial under the deflector grille, the direction of the air flow in the horizontal plane changes.
The nozzles 2 keep the lower part of the windshield defogged.
How to clear ice from the windshield and side windows
Set switch B to stage 3.
Turn knob A clockwise until it stops.
Handle C on .
Install nozzles 4 in such a way that the air flow is directed to the side windows.
How to prevent fogging of the windshield and side windows
If the windows fog up due to high air humidity, for example, during rain, it is recommended to do the following:
Set switch B to stage 2 or 3.
Handle A, if necessary, move to the air heating zone.
Set handle C to .
Through nozzles 4, additional warm air can be directed to the side windows.
Ventilation (fresh air supply to the cabin)
With the following position of the controls, nozzles 3 and 4 supply unheated fresh air:
Switch B to the desired level.
Turn knob A counterclockwise until it stops.
Handle C on .
If the windshield is fogged up, put knob C on .
If desired, handle C can also be set to another position.
Nozzles 3 and 4 open.
How to quickly raise the temperature in the cabin
Set switch B to stage 3.
Turn knob A clockwise until it stops.
Set handle C to .
When the windshield is fogged up, set knob C to .
Nozzles 4 set as desired.
How to keep the cabin pleasantly warm
After the windows have been cleared of fogging and the temperature in the cabin has reached the desired level, it is recommended to do the following:
Switch B to the desired level.
Set knob A to the desired heating.
Install handle C in the area between "Air flow to the leg area" And "Deicing the windshield and side windows".
If the windshield fogs up, set handle C to .
Nozzles 4 set as desired.
How to set normal air cooling mode
Switch B to the desired level.
Set knob A to the desired air temperature (heating is also possible).
Set knob C to the desired position.
In this position of the handle, at least one nozzle in the instrument panel must remain open, otherwise the refrigeration unit may freeze.
Switch on the climate control by pressing the D key.
Nozzles 3 and 4 set as desired.
How to set the maximum air cooling mode
Set switch B to stage 4.
Turn knob A counterclockwise until it stops.
Set handle C to .
In this position of the handle C, at least one nozzle in the instrument panel must remain open, otherwise the refrigeration unit may freeze.
When the windshield fogs up, put the knob C on .
In this position of the knob C, the recirculation mode is not possible.
Close all windows and sliding roof panel.
By pressing the E key, set the air recirculation mode.
Warning: The air recirculation mode should, however, only be switched on for a short time, as no fresh air enters the passenger compartment in this mode.
Switch on the climate control by pressing the D key.
Nozzles 3 and 4 open.
At least one nozzle must always remain open, otherwise the refrigeration unit may freeze.
Economical operation of the air conditioner
When the unit operates in the air cooling mode, its compressor is driven by the engine and therefore the nature of the use of the unit affects fuel consumption. In order to reduce the duration of the air conditioning unit as much as possible, the following recommendations should be taken into account.
If the interior of a stationary vehicle has become very hot due to solar radiation, it is recommended to open windows or doors for a short time to ventilate the passenger compartment.
If the windows or the sunroof are open while driving, do not turn on the air conditioner.
When the desired air temperature in the cabin can be reached and without turning on the air conditioner, it is better to use the interior ventilation system.
General instructions
At high temperatures and high humidity outside air, condensation may drip from the evaporator and form a puddle under the vehicle. This is normal and does not indicate a leak in the system.
Only handles A and C can be set to any intermediate position.
In order to avoid fogging of the windows, at a low vehicle speed, constantly turn the knob B to the lowest stage of the fan operation mode, and put the knob C to the position.
If the climate control system has not been switched on for a long time, an unpleasant odor may appear when it is turned on due to the accumulation of various kinds of deposits on the evaporator. To avoid unpleasant odours, the air conditioner should be switched on at least once a month at the highest fan setting, also during the cold season. At the same time, open one of the windows for a short time.
The heating capacity of the heating system depends on the temperature of the coolant of the engine cooling system - therefore, the greatest heating occurs when the engine is warmed up to operating temperature.
In order for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system to work reliably, the fresh air intake located in front of the windshield must be kept clear of ice, snow and leaves.
Used air is removed through outlets in the rear of the body; these openings should not be blocked.
On a sedan car, the gap between the luggage rack and the rear window, which serves to remove used air, must not be covered with anything.
Violations in the operation of the air conditioning system
If there is a failure in the operation of the air conditioner, this may be due to the following reasons:
- outside air temperature below about +5°С;
- the fuse has blown. The fuse should be checked and replaced if necessary. If the reason for the failure to work is not a blown fuse, the air conditioner must be turned off and contacted by specialists;
- The air conditioner has been temporarily switched off due to too high coolant temperature.
If the cooling capacity of the unit has decreased, it is necessary to turn off the unit and contact a specialist.
