Heated or unheated air is supplied to the passenger compartment through all nozzles (depending on the position of handle A) air.
The distribution of air supply to the nozzles is determined by the position of handle C.
Additionally, nozzles 3 and 4 can be opened or closed separately.
The nozzle is closed: side dial on
The nozzle is open: side dial on
Depending on the position of the disc regulator, the air flow changes its direction in height.
If you turn the dial under the deflector grille, the direction of the air flow in the horizontal plane changes.
The nozzles 2 keep the lower part of the windshield free of fog.
How to clear ice from windshield and side windows
Set switch B to position 3.
Turn handle A clockwise until it stops.
Handle C on
Install nozzles 4 so that the air flow is directed to the side windows.
How to prevent fogging of windshield and side windows
If the windows fog up due to high humidity, for example during rain, it is recommended to do the following:
Set switch B to position 2 or 3.
If necessary, move handle A to the air heating zone.
Put the handle C on
Through nozzles 4, additional warm air can be directed to the side windows.

Ventilation (fresh air supply to the cabin)
With the control positions shown below, unheated fresh air is supplied from nozzles 3 and 4:
Set switch B to the desired level.
Turn handle A counterclockwise until it stops.
Handle C on
If the windshield fogs up, turn the knob C to
If desired, handle C can also be set to another position.
Open nozzles 3 and 4.
How to quickly increase the temperature in the cabin
Set switch B to position 3.
Turn handle A clockwise until it stops.
Put the handle C on
If the windshield fogs up, turn the knob C to
Nozzles 4 can be installed as desired.
How to maintain a pleasant warmth in the car interior
Once the windows have cleared of fog and the interior temperature has reached the desired level, it is recommended to do the following:
Set switch B to the desired level.
Set knob A to the desired heating level.
Set the C knob to the area between "Air flow to the footwell" and "Windshield and side window de-icing".
If the windshield fogs up, set the C knob to
Nozzles 4 can be installed as desired.
How to set the normal air cooling mode
Set switch B to the desired level.
Set knob A to the desired air temperature (heating is also possible).
Place handle C in the desired position.
In this position of the handle, at least one nozzle in the instrument panel must remain open, otherwise the refrigeration unit may freeze.
Press the D key to turn on the air conditioning system.
Nozzles 3 and 4 can be installed as desired.
How to set the maximum air cooling mode
Set switch B to position 4.
Turn handle A counterclockwise until it stops.
Set the handle C to
In this position of the C knob, at least one nozzle in the instrument panel must remain open, otherwise the refrigeration unit may freeze.
If the windshield fogs up, turn the knob C to
In this position of the handle C, the recirculation mode is not possible.
Close all windows and the sliding roof panel.
Press the E key to set the air recirculation mode.
Warning: The air recirculation mode should, however, only be switched on for a short time, since no fresh air is supplied to the passenger compartment in this mode.
Press the D key to turn on the air conditioning system.
Open nozzles 3 and 4.
At least one nozzle must remain open at all times, otherwise the refrigeration unit may freeze.
Economical operation of the air conditioning system
When the unit operates in the air cooling mode, its compressor is driven by the engine and therefore the nature of the unit's use affects fuel consumption. In order to reduce the operating time of the air conditioning unit as much as possible, the following recommendations should be taken into account.
If the interior of a parked vehicle has become very hot due to solar radiation, it is recommended to open the windows or doors for a short time to ventilate the interior.
If the windows or sunroof are open while driving, do not turn on the air conditioning system.
When the desired air temperature in the cabin can be achieved without turning on the air conditioning system, it is better to use the cabin ventilation system.
General instructions
At high temperatures and high humidity of the outside air, condensate may drip from the evaporator and form a puddle under the car. This is normal and does not indicate a leak in the system.
Only handles A and C can be set to any intermediate position.
To avoid fogging of the windows, at low vehicle speeds, use knob B to constantly turn on the lowest level of the fan mode, and set knob C to position
If the air conditioning system has not been switched on for a long time, an unpleasant smell may appear when it is switched on due to the accumulation of various types of deposits on the evaporator. To avoid the unpleasant smell, the air conditioning system should be switched on – also in the cold season – at least once a month at the highest fan setting. At the same time, open one of the windows for a short time.
The heating capacity of the heating system depends on the temperature of the coolant in the engine cooling system – therefore, the greatest heating occurs when the engine is warmed up to operating temperature.
To ensure that the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system operate reliably, the fresh air intake opening located in front of the windshield must be kept free of ice, snow and leaves.
Used air is removed through outlets in the rear of the body; these openings should not be blocked.
In a sedan, the gap between the luggage rack and the rear window, which serves to remove used air, must not be blocked with anything.
Malfunctions of the air conditioning system
If there is a failure in the operation of the air conditioning system, this may be due to the following reasons:
- the outside air temperature is below approximately +5°C;
- the fuse has blown. You should check the fuse and replace it if necessary. If the cause of the failure is not a blown fuse, the air conditioning system must be turned off and specialists must be contacted;
- the air conditioning system has temporarily switched off due to the coolant temperature being too high.
If the cooling capacity of the unit has decreased, it is necessary to turn off the unit and contact specialists.
