Fig. 1.85. Air conditioner controls:
1 - temperature regulator: 2 - windshield de-icing key; 3 - the air recirculation mode is switched off, outside air is directed to the windshield, at an outside temperature above 3°C the refrigeration unit is switched on to dehumidify the air: 4 - key - recirculation mode; 5 - key - use of residual heat; button - rear window heating, heating is switched on for a period of 4 to 20 minutes depending on the outside temperature. Heating can be switched off earlier by pressing this button again; 6 - key - air supply up; 7 - key - air supply to the middle; 8 - key - air supply down; 9 - Fan switch; 10 - key (AC) - turning on/off the refrigeration unit.

The air conditioner operates only when the ignition is on, except in the residual heat mode. The refrigeration unit operates only when the engine is running and the fan is on.

To set the temperature and fan operating mode, rotate the temperature regulator 1 (Fig. 1.85) and the fan switch 9.

The keys are used to control various functions. When a function is turned on, a yellow lamp lights up in the key.

Increasing the temperature in the cabin

Turn the temperature control to the right until the desired temperature is reached.

Set the fan switch to one of the settings.

Direct the air flow using the keys in the desired direction.

Lowering the temperature in the cabin

Turn on the air conditioner using the button.

Turn the temperature control to the left until the desired temperature is reached.

Set the fan switch to one of the settings.

Direct the air flow in the desired direction using the corresponding keys.

Heating the interior with residual heat

Turn off the ignition.

Press the "REST" key.

Heating

The greatest heating of the interior and quick cleaning of the glass are possible only when the engine is warmed up.

Refrigeration unit

When the refrigeration unit is turned on, not only the temperature but also the humidity in the passenger compartment decreases. This improves the well-being of the driver and passengers and prevents fogging of the windows.

If you cannot turn on the refrigeration unit, the following reasons may be possible:
  • the engine is not working;
  • the fan is off;
  • outside temperature below +3°C;
  • the refrigeration compressor has temporarily shut down due to excessively high engine coolant temperature;
  • the air conditioner fuse is faulty;
  • there may be other reasons for the failure of the refrigeration unit, you should contact a specialized workshop for inspection.

Residual heat

When the residual heat heating mode is turned on, the residual heat of the engine is used. In this mode, the unit operates to avoid a large battery discharge due to the pump drive for no more than 30 minutes.

Recirculation mode

The recirculation mode prevents polluted or foul-smelling outside air from entering the passenger compartment.

Recirculation mode (in the key ) the yellow light is on) prevents polluted air from entering the passenger compartment, for example when driving through a tunnel or in a traffic jam.

At low outside air temperatures, recirculation mode increases interior heating because the air from the interior is heated instead of the cold outside air.

At high outside air temperatures, recirculation mode improves interior cooling because cooler interior air is supplied to the refrigeration unit instead of hot outside air.

ATTENTION: In recirculation mode, fresh air does not enter the passenger compartment. When the refrigeration unit is switched off, the windows may quickly fog up. Therefore, do not switch on the recirculation mode for a long time.
