The controls provide separate regulation of the microclimate on the left and right sides of the cabin (pic. 1.86).
The air conditioning system works in all modes, except for the residual heat mode, only when the ignition is on. The refrigeration unit operates only when the engine is running and the fan is on.
To set the desired temperature in the left or right half of the passenger compartment, turn the temperature control.
Keys are used to control various functions. When a function is enabled, the yellow lamp in the key lights up.
Auto mode
In automatic mode, the temperature, air supply and air distribution are controlled so that the set temperature in the passenger compartment is reached in the shortest possible time and then maintained at the set level.
The temperature for the left and right sides of the car is regulated separately.
Enabling automatic mode
Press key «AUTO». The yellow lamp in the key lights up.
To set the desired temperature on the left and right sides of the passenger compartment, use the rotary temperature controls. It is recommended to set 22°C (72°F).
In automatic mode and set temperature 22°С (72°F) a comfortable microclimate is quickly created in the cabin. This setting should only be changed when it is necessary to meet someone's special requirements or to create special conditions for the interior climate. The temperature in the cabin can be set in the range from +16°С (61°F) up to +29.5°С (86°F). Here we are talking about approximate temperature limits, which, depending on external weather conditions, may shift slightly higher or lower.
Climate control maintains the set temperature fully automatically. To do this, the temperature of the air supplied to the passenger compartment, the fan level and the distribution of the air supply are automatically regulated.
Climate control is able to properly respond to strong solar radiation, so there is no need for manual adjustment of the climate system. Thus, almost always automatic mode creates the best conditions for the driver and passengers in all seasons.
The automatic mode is switched off when one of the air distribution keys, fan stages or the key is pressed «ECON». At the same time, temperature control continues.
Manual mode
In manual mode, the temperature, air supply and distribution are set by the driver or passenger.
Enabling manual mode
Press one of the keys 5 to 9 or the key «ECON». Yellow lamp in the key «A1GTO» goes out.
Temperature
Different temperature controls are provided for the left and right sides of the passenger compartment. The set temperature is shown above the corresponding knob. The temperature in the cabin can be set in the range from +16°С (61°F) up to +29.5°С (86°F). Here we are talking about approximate temperature limits, which, depending on external weather conditions, may shift slightly higher or lower.
If the temperature is set below 16°C (61°F), then the indication appears «LO». The unit operates with the maximum possible cooling capacity, the temperature is not regulated.
If the temperature is set above 29.5°C (86°F), then the indication appears «H1». The unit operates with the maximum possible heat output, the temperature is not regulated.
Fan
One of the seven stages of the fan air supply is set with the keys «+» and «-» for each side of the cabin separately. At fan stage O, the air conditioner is switched off.
Air distribution.
The corresponding keys regulate the distribution of the air supply. Additionally, some nozzles can be opened or closed individually.
Turning on/off the refrigeration unit.
By pressing a key «ECON» turn off the refrigeration unit to save fuel. Temperature control continues. The set temperature can be reached.
Residual heat mode «REST»
When the residual heat heating mode is on, the residual heat from the engine is used. In this mode, the unit operates in order to avoid a strong discharge of the battery due to the pump drive for no more than 30 minutes.
When the residual heat mode is switched on, automatic or manual control is possible.
When the ignition is off, the fan power is reduced to save energy.
Recirculation mode
The recirculation mode prevents polluted or foul-smelling outside air from entering the cabin.
Press key (O) to turn the recirculation mode on or off. When the recirculation mode is on, the yellow lamp in the key lights up.
The recirculation mode prevents polluted air from entering the passenger compartment, for example, when driving through a tunnel or being stuck in a traffic jam.
When the outside temperature is low, the recirculation mode increases the heating of the passenger compartment, as the air from the passenger compartment is heated instead of cold outside air.
When the outside temperature is high, the recirculation mode improves the cooling of the passenger compartment, since cooler air from the passenger compartment enters the refrigeration unit instead of hot outside air.
ATTENTION: In the recirculation mode, fresh air does not enter the passenger compartment. When the refrigeration system is switched off, the windows may fog up quickly. Therefore, do not turn on the recirculation mode for a long time - this is dangerous.
Automatic recirculation mode
With automatic control of the recirculation mode, this mode is switched on and off by the air quality sensor.
Press the key to enable or disable the automatic recirculation mode. When the recirculation mode is on, the yellow lamp in the key lights up.
With active automatic recirculation mode control, this mode is activated in the following cases:
When the air quality sensor detects that the air contains an increased amount of harmful substances. As soon as the content of harmful substances in the outside air no longer exceeds the permissible level, the recirculation mode is automatically turned off, and outside air is again supplied to the vehicle interior.
When the automatic cleaning and washing of the windshield is turned on. After 20 seconds, the recirculation mode is switched off.
In recirculation mode, no fresh air enters the passenger compartment. Air is sucked in from the passenger compartment, then heated or cooled. Therefore, under normal conditions, the recirculation mode is chosen in order to prevent the entry of harmful or unpleasantly smelling air into the passenger compartment.
As soon as the content of harmful substances in the outside air no longer exceeds the permissible level, the recirculation mode is automatically turned off, and outside air is again supplied to the vehicle interior.
NOTE: The air quality sensor only detects polluted air, but cannot detect foul smelling air. If you want to prevent unpleasantly smelling air from entering the passenger compartment, press the key.
