Note: For the "AAZ" engine, the maximum permissible clearance in the lock is:
- upper compression ring: 1.2mm;
- lower compression ring: 0.6 mm;
- oil scraper ring: 1.2 mm.
Checking the technical condition and repairing the cylinder block of diesel engines is carried out in analogy with the instructions in the corresponding section "Gasoline 8-valve engine".
Warning: The maximum allowable clearance between the piston and cylinder when worn for "1Z" and "AFN" engines is 0.1 mm.
