The voltage stabilizer equalizes the working voltage for the indicating devices. The voltage stabilizer should be checked when the fuel reserve and coolant temperature indicators give incorrect readings.
Remove the instrument panel bezel and protective glass. Do not disconnect the battery ground wire.
Remove the device on the left.
Turn on the ignition.
Up to 7/90:

Connect the voltmeter to the positive input "1" and ground "2". The prescribed voltage value is approximately equal to the battery voltage (12 volts). If the voltmeter shows a different value, use the electrical circuit to find the wire break.
Turn off the ignition.
Install the device on the left.
Remove the speedometer.

Check the output voltage by connecting a voltmeter between the positive output "3" and ground "2". The prescribed voltage value is 9.5-10.5 volts. Otherwise, there is a break in the printed circuit board or a defect in the voltage stabilizer, and the defective unit must be replaced.
