Remove the LED cover.
Remove the LED.
A specialized workshop uses a VAG-1315A digital multimeter for testing. Press the resistance and voltage measurement buttons (arrows) simultaneously. Connect the red clamp to the straight positive pin of the LED, and the black clamp to the curved negative pin. The diode should glow, otherwise it should be replaced.
Insert the LED into the instrument cluster.
Attention: Ensure correct polarity. The negative pole of the LED is marked with a chamfer "1" on the housing and has an enlarged electrode "2". Some LEDs have an additionally curved negative pin.
Insert the LED cover.
Install the instrument panel.
