Whether the glow plugs are supplied with voltage at all is checked as follows.
Connect a test lamp between the ground and the voltage cable supply (red and white) on the glow plug
Remove the plug from the coolant temperature sensor and hang it freely in the air.
Turn the ignition key briefly to the pre-glow position. The lamp should light. Therefore, the voltage supply circuit to the spark plug is in good order.
If the indicator lamp does not light, then the tape fuse (as already mentioned), pre-glow relay (engine power 47 kW) glow plug timing control device or glow plug relay (engine power 55 kW), the ignition switch or supply cable may be faulty.
