Checking the supply voltage of the CDI injection system (VW Lt 2d)

1. Turn off the ignition.

2. Connect the VAG 1598/30 tester to the control unit (figure 4A.10).

3. Turn on the ignition. Measure the voltage between the following terminals: 1/01 + 1/04, 1/01 + 1/06, 1/04 + 1/08, 1/06 + 1/07. Specified value: approximately battery voltage.

4. If the set value is not achieved, check the supply voltage relay terminal 30, the wires for short circuit and their resistance.

5. If no faults are found in the wires and relay, replace the CDI injection system control unit.
