- Do not touch or pull out the high voltage wire by hand while the engine is running or cranking.
- Connecting and disconnecting instrument leads (crankshaft speed meter, ignition tester) only be carried out with the ignition switched off.
- Cannot be connected to terminal 1 (-) capacitor shielded from interference and test lamp.
- Before turning the engine with the starter (e.g. when checking compression), you need to turn off the ignition, remove from the ignition distributor (terminal 4) high-voltage wire and, using an auxiliary wire, connect it to ground. Disconnect the high voltage transformer plug on the Motronic system.
- Starting the engine from the charger is allowed for no more than 1 minute at a maximum voltage of 16.5 V.
- Do not replace the ignition distributor with a resistance of 1 kOhm with another, even with radio interference.
- In case of radio interference, use only 1 kOhm resistance for high voltage wires and 5 kOhm spark plug tips.
- For arc welding, disconnect the battery completely.
