Remove the spark plug cap. Remove the high tension wires from the distributor cap and ignition coil.
Caution: Remove by the tips, not by the wires.
Connect an ohmmeter and measure the resistance.
If the resistance is too high, clean the wire connection points and check again; replace the wires if necessary.
Check the insulation of the high-voltage wires, for which bend the wires in the area of the spark plug tip with a small radius and make sure there are no cracks; if necessary, replace all the wires.
Check the distributor rotor.
Connect the ground wire to the battery.
