To avoid personal injury and damage to the electronic ignition system, the following precautions must be observed when operating machines equipped with an electronic ignition system.
Before cranking the engine with the starter (e.g. compression test) switch off the ignition and disconnect the plug from the Hall sensor (on the ignition distributor).
When the engine is running or turning it with a starter, do not touch the high voltage wires with your hand.
Disconnect the ignition wiring only when the ignition is off.
Connecting and disconnecting instrument wires (tachometer / ignition tester) only be done with the ignition off.
Never connect to terminal 1 (-) interference suppression capacitor or test lamp.
Starting with a quick charger is only allowed for 1 minute with a maximum voltage of 16.5 V. After each start attempt, a 1 minute pause must be observed.
The ignition coil must not be exchanged for a coil of a different design. Never install an ignition coil designed for a contact ignition system.
It is impossible to run the ignition distributor 1 kOhm (designation R1) replace with another, even to eliminate radio interference.
To eliminate interference, use only 1 kΩ resistance on high voltage wires and 5 kΩ spark plug tips.
Disconnect the battery only when the ignition is switched off, otherwise the control unit for the ignition and fuel injection system may fail.
Wash the engine only with the ignition off.
Attention! People with a pacemaker installed should not work on the electronic ignition system.
