Installing spark plugs (VW Transporter T4)

Replace spark plugs only when the engine is cold or warm to the touch.

Caution! If the spark plugs are unscrewed on a hot engine, the spark plug threads will cut the threads in the alloy cylinder head.

The spark plugs are screwed into the cylinder head by hand until they stop.

Attention! Do not tilt the spark plugs when screwing them into the cylinder head.

1. Tighten the spark plugs to 20 Nm.

2. Install the spark plug plugs. Rock them from side to side to check that the plugs and high-voltage wires are securely fastened.
