  • Constant speed control device
            0

The device is designed to maintain a constant speed of over 35 km/h, if the engine power allows it, during uniform movement on a high-speed road.

Warning: The constant speed device must not be used when driving in continuous traffic or on unsuitable road surfaces (ice, gravel, mud, uneven road).

When the constant speed device is on, you must not disengage the gear without pressing the clutch pedal! In this case, the load is suddenly removed from the engine, as a result of which it may start to run "out of control" and fail due to exceeding the maximum permissible speed!

Note: In vehicles with automatic transmission, the cruise control can only operate in modes D, 3 and 2. If another mode is selected while driving, (P, N, R or 1), the last saved speed is erased from memory and the device turns off.

Note: In vehicles with automatic transmission, the cruise control can only operate in modes D, 3…

The cruise control is controlled by moving the control A and pressing the button B on the left steering column stalk (turn signal and headlight switch).

To turn on the device, move switch A to the ON position.

When the desired speed is reached, press button B briefly to set the SET mode. After this, you can remove your foot from the gas pedal.

The stored speed can be increased without pressing the gas pedal. To do this, press button B and hold it until the car reaches the desired speed.

The original article is posted on the website: vwmanual.ru

The speed can be increased by simply pressing the gas pedal. After releasing the pedal, the device will again set the previously saved speed.

The device is temporarily switched off by pressing the brake or clutch pedal, or by significantly exceeding the stored speed, for example when accelerating before an incline. To return to the last stored speed after releasing the brake or clutch pedal or after completing the incline, move switch A all the way to the left to the RES position.

Caution: You can only continue driving at the saved speed if it is suitable for the existing road conditions.

The device is completely switched off by moving switch A all the way to the left to the OFF position or, if the car is stationary, by turning off the ignition.
