Windscreen wipers/washers (right steering column switch)

The windshield wipers only work when the ignition is on.

Heated windshield washer nozzles automatically adjust the heating power depending on the outside temperature when the ignition is turned on. In freezing weather, check before driving whether the brushes are frozen to the glass.

Instructions: Filling the windshield washer fluid reservoir is described below.

Front wiper/washer modes:

Standby mode - Raise the lever to the stop before position 1

Low speed - Set the lever to position 1

High speed - Set the lever to position 2

Intermittent mode ("pause"). Set the lever to position 3, with the brushes operating at intervals of 6 seconds. If a windshield wiper with adjustable "pause" duration is installed, the interval between brushes can be programmed within the range from 1.5 to 22 seconds. To do this:
  • Turn on the intermittent mode so that the brushes make one stroke
  • Switch off the windscreen wipers and after the pause you have selected, switch them on again. The pause time can be changed an unlimited number of times. After switching off the ignition, the pause time is set again to 6 seconds.

Windscreen washer

To turn on the washer, pull the lever towards the steering wheel rim - the washers work together with the wiper blades.

The original article is available on the website www.vwmanual.ru

Release the lever - the washers turn off, and the wipers continue to work for 4 seconds.

Headlight washers

When the low beam or high beam is on, the headlight washer is turned on simultaneously with the windshield washer. Hardened dirt should be removed from the headlights mechanically from time to time.

Rear wiper (Variant)

Move the lever away from the steering wheel rim - the rear window wiper operates in intermittent mode with an interval of 6 seconds. When pressed briefly again, the window wiper switches off.

Rear washer

Press the lever away from the steering wheel rim and hold it in this position - the washer turns on simultaneously with the windshield wiper. When you release the lever, the washer stops working.
