Since it sometimes happens that the fluid in the system decreases, it is possible to determine by means of a small check where this occurs.
The second person turns the steering gear to both stop positions and leaves it in this position for a short time. Due to this, the maximum possible pressure is created in the system and at this moment the liquid can leak somewhere.
Check the underside of the vehicle around the steering gear (rotating valve), loosen the rubber seals on the rack and check the rack ends (rack sealing ring): Check the power steering pump and all hose connections. Oil leaking from these areas will indicate the location of the leak.
