
Check the timing belt tension (see page 128). Pull the trigger handle all the way out.
Turning the crankshaft, set the piston of the l-th cylinder to TDC (see figure 239).
Insert the mandrel measuring rod into the indicator and back off by about half a turn. This is necessary to avoid the rod striking if the tolerance limit is exceeded. Screw the mandrel with the indicator in place of the central bolt (figure 244) and set the indicator to 2.0 mm. Turn the crankshaft to the left by 2-3 mm. Turn the crankshaft slowly to the right until the indicator shows a lower value - this is the deepest place (cone) on the rim of the installation disk (figure 245).

Check if the TDC position is still maintained. The permissible error is ±2.0 mm.

Possible adjustment is made after unscrewing both upper bracket bolts and the rear bracket bolt. After this, the tilt of the pump is changed until the indicator shows the lowest value. Check again for correct installation.
