Bosch fuel injection pump
Warm up the engine.
Set the pump lever to the maximum speed position.
Connect the tachometer according to its instructions. Loosen the lock nut and, turning the adjusting screw (arrow fig 255), set the required maximum speed. Tighten the lock nut again and secure it with paint to prevent it from loosening.

Adjust the maximum speed to (5450±50) rpm for a diesel engine and (5100±150) rpm for a turbocharged engine.

Press the accelerator pedal all the way down and after loosening the lock nut, set the adjusting screw (arrow in figure 256) rotation speed (5350±50) rpm. Tighten the lock nut while holding the screw.

The screw is locked with a lock nut. The maximum speed of a conventional engine is different from the maximum speed of a turbocharged engine.
