Holding the flywheel ring gear with a screwdriver, remove the bolts. Usually, these bolts can be loosened with an ordinary wrench without locking the flywheel. To do this, put a regular key at a right angle and hit its end with your hand. In order to hold the clutch cover, you can use a piece of some plate or strip in which two holes are drilled. Then the strip is screwed with clutch bolts to the flywheel. Take a good seat on the engine and remove the bolts.
Using the fact that the flywheel is blocked, unscrew the bolts securing the V-belt pulley, as well as the bolts securing the toothed pulley, from the front of the engine.
Remove the cylinder head along with the intake and exhaust manifolds. Remove the coolant pump pulley. Remove the toothed belt guard. On the outer part of the toothed pulley, mark the direction of rotation with paint.
After loosening the tensioner nut, remove the toothed belt. Remove the oil pan (see here).
Remove the oil pump (see here).
If only the crankshaft is removed, the pistons and connecting rods may remain in the cylinder block. Otherwise, the connecting rod and piston group should be removed as described in chapter 5.3. If pistons with connecting rods remain in the cylinders, it is necessary to mark the connecting rod caps, remove them and leave them with liners.
Turn away bolts of fastening of a forward cover of an epiploon and remove it together with a lining. Remove the rear seal cover (pic. 209).
Pic. 209. Components installed on the rear side of the engine block: 1 - gasket, always to be replaced; 2 - holder of the rear gland; 3 - stuffing box; 4 - casing; 5 - clutch pressure plate; 6 - bolt (75 Nm); 7 - connecting disk; 8 - retaining ring; 9 - flywheel; 10 - bolt (20 Nm), 11 - driven disk
Loosen the main bearing cap bolts, loosening them evenly «criss-cross», remove them one by one. Check that the cap numbers are clearly visible. Cover #1 is on the pulley side.
Remove the liners from the crankshaft journals and place them in the previously removed main bearing caps.
Remove the thrust half rings from the central bearing or, if the engine has already been repaired, the flange shells.
Carefully remove the shaft from the cylinder block.
Remove the rest of the earbuds from the case and attach them to the corresponding covers. The removed liners are provided with an oil groove and must be installed in their original places during assembly.
Remove the rest of the thrust washers.
