.The automatic transmission is connected to the crankshaft by a drive plate fixed with six bolts (pic. 212). The reinforcing ring has a chamfer on the outer edge, which must face the drive disk. When installing the disc, the bolts should be lubricated with a locking compound for threaded connections and tightened to a torque of 75 Nm. It should be remembered that an adjusting shim must be installed between the drive disk and the crankshaft flange.
Before installing the bolts on the fixing composition, it is necessary to rotate the disk and measure the amount of protrusion with a depth gauge «A» (pic. 213) disk surface. The foot of the depth gauge must rest against the surface of the disc to which the torque converter is attached, and measure the distance to the cylinder block. This distance should be 30.5-32.1 mm. Otherwise, a shim must be used.
