Figure 7.3. Outer hinge included
1 - small clamping belt; 2 - drive axle; 3 - rubber casing; 4 - large belt of the casing; 5 - basket; 6 - hub; 7 - short axle shaft; 8 - concave washer; 9 - cone washer; 10 - spring ring; 11 - hinge housing.
27. Install concave washer 8 and conical washer 9 (figure 7.3). Slide the spring ring 10 into the groove of the axle shaft (photo 7.4).

28. Drive the joint onto the axle shaft with a copper hammer until the spring ring snaps in. Then remove the joint from the axle shaft (photo 7.12).

29. Squeeze the remaining grease into the hinge, then install the casing. When installing the rubber casing onto the hinge, the casing is compressed. The resulting underpressure prevents the casing from straightening out to its normal shape.
When the wheel is twisted, the folds of the cover are pulled inward and may be damaged. Therefore, especially in models with a 90 mm diameter hinge, it is necessary to lift the cover with a screwdriver before installing the small clamping belt to equalize the pressure, and then install the cover normally.
