Note: To remove throttle valve control unit -J333-, first remove control flap control unit -J808-. Disconnect vacuum hose -arrow-. Raise engine cover at points -1- and remove engine cover by moving forward in direction of arrow-. Remove air filter. Unscrew securing screw -1-. Release spring clips and remove hose -2- at canister solenoid valve 1 and pressure pipe -N80- -3-. Unscrew pressure pipe -3- on turbocharger and remove pressure pipe -3-.
Disconnect all connectors and hose connections at suction connection -4- and at control flap control unit -J808-. Unscrew securing screws -arrows- for the intake manifolds and pull the intake manifolds with control flap control unit -J808- upwards.
Remove securing screws -arrows-.
Removing throttle valve control unit -J338-
Detach coolant hose -1- from hose clamps. Unplug connector -2- for intake air temperature sender 3 -G520- with intake air temperature sender 3 -G583-. Remove charge air hose -3- from throttle valve control unit -J338- and charge air pipe.
Unscrew securing bolts -arrows- and remove throttle valve control unit -J338- from intake manifold.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order, while observing the following.
Seals and lip seals must be replaced. The hoses and hose fittings of the charge air system must be free of oil and grease before installation. All hose connections must be secured with standard model year clamps. Press engine cover at points -1- in -direction of arrow- downwards until it snaps into place at these points. Push vacuum line onto connector -arrow-. If a new control damper control unit or throttle valve control unit has been installed. Delete adaptation parameters and adapt engine control unit -J623- to control flap control unit or throttle valve unit.
