If it is necessary to replace the engine control unit, connect the VAS 5051B diagnostic tester and perform the guided function "Replace control unit".

Removal



Turn off the ignition.

Remove the windshield wiper motor on the right side.

Unlock both connector plugs from the engine control unit and disconnect them.

Now the control unit can be removed.

Installation



Insert the control unit into the mounting frame.

Connect the plugs and secure them.

Install the windshield wiper motor on the right side.

Install the casing of the water drainage box.

Match the new engine control unit.
