Disconnect connector and fuel feed line -arrows- from high pressure pump.
Remove guide -2- and remove clip -4- from high pressure line.
Instruction: When loosening the union nuts, hold the threaded connections on the high pressure pump and the bottom of the intake manifold with a wedge.
Unscrew union nuts -3- and -1- of the high-pressure line.
Unscrew securing bolts -1-, -2- and -3- evenly.
Remove high pressure pump -3- and roller tappet -1- from camshaft housing.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order, while observing the following.
Instructions: Lubricate the roller tappet of the high pressure pump with clean engine oil. The sealing ring of the high pressure pump must always be replaced.
Insert roller tappet -1- into camshaft housing. Fit a new O-ring -1- lubricated with engine oil into the groove of the high pressure pump -2-. Position high pressure pump -3- on camshaft housing. Tighten securing bolts -1-, -2- and -3- evenly. Tightening torque: 6 Nm. Tighten union nuts of high-pressure line -1- and -3- by hand. Fit guide -2- and press clip -4 onto high pressure line. Guide bolt tightening torque: 8 Nm.
Instruction: When tightening the union nuts, hold the threaded connections on the high pressure pump and the bottom of the intake manifold with a wrench.
Tighten union nut -1- of high pressure line to 18 Nm. Tighten union nut -3- of high-pressure line to 18 Nm. Attach fuel feed line and connector -arrows- to high pressure pump. Connect fuel supply line -arrow-. Install the air filter.
