Check the timing belt for tears, transverse fractures, cracks (from the lid side), B traces of sidewall wear, C wear of the working surface, D cracks (at the base of the teeth) (Fig. 2.3). Layer delamination (top layer, working surface). Cracks in the top layer (polymer coating). Traces of oil and grease.
Note: If defects are found, the toothed belt must be replaced. This will prevent possible malfunctions and failure of some functions. Replacing the toothed belt is a repair measure.
