Warning: Before performing work involving disconnecting the high-pressure line of the body level control system, release the air pressure through the purge valve of the pressure distributor to prevent accidents when the rear of the vehicle is suddenly lowered.

To remove, release the air pressure from the body position regulator system through the purge valve (Fig. 5-10). Disconnect the wire from the body position regulator sensor on the left shock absorber. Remove the mudguard trim of the left rear wing and pull the wire through the mudguard hole. Unscrew the high-pressure line from the shock absorber nipple. Remove the air shock absorber as indicated above in the subsection "Removal and installation the shock absorber with suspension spring".

To remove, release the air pressure from the body position regulator system through the purge valve…

To install, position the air shock absorber so that the high-pressure pipe fitting faces the outside of the vehicle, i.e., the wheel at an angle of 90° to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. Screw in and tighten the upper and lower shock absorber mounting nuts. Pass the sensor wire through the rear wheel mudguard opening to the left shock absorber. Connect the high-pressure pipe to the shock absorber, being careful not to damage the pipe sealing ring. Connect the sensor wire to the left shock absorber.
