The rear wheel alignment angles are adjusted using silent blocks with eccentric bushings (Fig. 27).

Rear wheel camber: 1°25'±30'. Rear wheel toe-in: 0°15'±20'.

Replacing the rear axle gearbox suspension bracket

To replace the suspension cushion, remove the rear axle gearbox suspension bracket. Press the suspension cushion out of the bracket using a press.

Replacing the silent blocks of the subframe mounting bracket

Remove the subframe mounting bracket from the vehicle. Place a chisel between the silent block and the bracket, lever out the bushing, then use pliers to remove the second part of the bushing. Install the new bushing at an angle of 40° relative to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle using the measuring disc of device 3084. Use device 3128 to install the bushing. Install the second part of the bushing, making sure that the splines of both halves are correctly aligned. Install the unit on the vehicle and check the wheel alignment angles on an optical stand.

Adjusting the rear wheel alignment angles

The rear wheel alignment angles are adjusted using eccentric bushing silent blocks. The adjustment is performed as follows. With a negative camber angle, turn the eccentric upward. With a positive camber angle, turn the eccentric downward. With a positive toe-in, turn the eccentric forward. With a negative toe-in, turn the eccentric backward.
