Raise the rear of the car and place it on stands. Remove hub cap. remove the cotter pin and toothed stopper. Tighten the hub nut to the stop to take the clearance in the hub bearings, then loosen the nut.
Lightly tighten the hub nut so that by simply pressing a finger or the tip of a screwdriver, without leverage, the washer can be moved in the radial direction (pic. 5-12).
This position of the hub nut corresponds to the required clearance in the bearings, which can be checked using an indicator.
Install the toothed stop and a new cotter pin. Using a hammer with a rubber head, press on the hub cap, putting about 10 g of universal grease into it.
