Removal and installation front suspension arms (VW Passat B4)

To remove, lift the front of the car and place it on stands. Loosen the nut of the ball joint pin of the suspension arm to the steering knuckle and, using some tool as a lever, disconnect the ball joint of the suspension arm from the steering knuckle. Loosen the front and rear bolts securing the suspension arm to the front subframe. Remove the suspension arm.

When installing, put the suspension arm in place, inserting the end of the anti-roll bar into the eye of the arm mount. Install the suspension arm mount bolts to the subframe and tighten their nuts to a torque of 13 kgf·m. Insert the suspension arm ball joint pin into the hole in the steering knuckle, tighten and tighten the ball joint pin nut.

Check the front wheel alignment angles and adjust them if necessary.
