2. Check ignition setting and adjust if necessary.
3. Headlights must be connected (except for models of cars equipped with air conditioners). Disconnect and plug the flexible air bleed pipe of the main crankcase from the valve cover.
4. In models equipped with air conditioning, the system must be turned off during checks and adjustments.
5. If the injector tubes were disconnected or replaced with new ones just before checking and adjusting the idle speed, increase the engine speed to 3000 rpm. And then let the engine idle for 2 minutes before checking or adjusting the idle speed.
6. If it is necessary to adjust the idle speed, remove the safety cap from the adjusting screw 18 on the throttle body 7, and by turning this screw set the idle speed according to the technical data (pic. 3.52).

1 - air filter insert; 2 - gasket; 3 - mixture adjustment bolt (under the plug) 4 - plug 5 - air flow meter, b - suction pipe; 7 - throttle body; 6 - gasket; 4 - reduced pressure equipment for increasing the rotation speed. 10 - drive manifold; 11 - branch pipe to the fuel regulator; 12 - branch pipe to the servomechanism; 13 - electrical connection (black); 14 - additional air valve; 15 - branch pipe to the head; 16 - manifold gasket; 17 - O-ring type o-ring; 18 - idle speed adjusting bolt; 19 - idle speed control valve under load.
Adjustment should only be made when the electric radiator fan is not running.
7. If an exhaust gas analyzer is available, check the carbon monoxide content of the exhaust gases and compare it with the technical data. If necessary, adjust the composition of the exhaust gases.
8. Models with air conditioning are also equipped with a load idle speed control valve and, in some cases, a second idle speed increase valve.
