1. Remove timing belt and large timing gear.
2. Remove the oil sump.
3. Unscrew and remove the suction tube with the oil pump sucker from the cylinder block. Remove the suction pad.
4. Unscrew the bolts and remove the cover with the oil pump from the fixing bolts of the front of the engine block (photo 2.21). Note that the ignition setting indicator is screwed on the two upper middle bolts securing the pump cover to the housing, and the distribution cover is screwed on the two outer bolts. Remove the pump cover gasket. The manufacturer does not give any gap values regarding the wear of the oil pump mechanisms, so we will proceed from the fact that the pump is in good condition when the oil pressure corresponds to the pressure given in the technical data. However, you can visually check the oil pump as follows:
5. Using a hex wrench, unscrew the overflow valve plug and remove the spring and moving piston (photo 2. 22).
6. Using an impact screwdriver, unscrew the cap screws and remove the cover from the pump.
7. Remove the gears, paying attention to the fact that the sign on the outer wheel is on the side of the cover (photo 2.23).
8. Rinse the parts in kerosene and wipe dry, then check the working surfaces for wear and possible damage. In case of damage to any gear, it is necessary to replace the entire oil pump, if it is in the reverse order to disassemble it, tighten the bolts and plugs.
9. To check the pump pressure, before dismantling the engine, unscrew the oil pressure sensor and screw in a pressure gauge with a scale of 0 to 10 bar in its place. The pressure at 2000 rpm should be 20 bar.
Installation
10. Replace the seal in the oil pump housing.
11. Put a new gasket on the fixing bolts at the front of the engine block.
12. Put on the oil pump, making sure that the inner gear of the pump enters the milled plane of the crankshaft, and that the seal is not damaged.
13. Insert the bolts with the ignition timing indicator bracket (in two central holes), as well as the inner plate of the timing belt cover, then tighten it evenly with a certain torque.
14. Put a new gasket under the sealing surface of the cuff, then put on the suction tube and install the oil pump sucker so that the bracket hole matches the hole in the housing. Install all bolts and tighten them to the appropriate torque, paying attention to the fact that the bolts securing the cuff are fully tightened before tightening the bolt of the suction bracket, which will improve the sealing of the suction tube cuff
15. Put on and squeeze the oil sump, distribution belt and distribution gear.
