Extraction
1. Drain the liquid from the cooling system.
2. Remove the air filter and take out the air ducts. Disconnect the battery cable with the minus sign.
3. Unscrew and remove the timing belt cover.
4. Rotate the engine with a wrench placed on the crankshaft pulley until the upper bolt securing the inner plate of the timing shaft cover appears in the hole in the camshaft gear. Loosen and remove the bolt.
5. Set the timing marks on the same line. Reduce the tension of the timing belt by rotating the water pump housing, then remove the belt from the water pump and camshaft gear.
6. Remove the bolts and remove the timing belt cover.
7. Remove the water pump 10 (figure 2.4) remove the o-ring 9.

8. The water pump cannot be repaired and if damaged, it must be replaced with a new one.
9. Clean the mating surfaces of the water pump and engine block.
Installation
10. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Replace the gasket with a new one. Install and tighten the timing belt. Fill the cooling system with water.
