1. The manufacturer fills the cooling system with g10 or g11 fluid. Every 15,000 km or every 12 months, the concentration of the coolant must be checked and, if necessary, topped up with new coolant.
2. Fluid must be in the system at all times as it prevents sludge formation and provides a higher boiling point than regular water - this gives better cooling efficiency, especially when the engine is running at full load.
3. It is recommended to check the antifreeze concentration before each winter season. The concentration can be checked with a hydrometer. If you do not have a hydrometer, but there are doubts about the normal density of the coolant, it is better to replace it than risk getting a burst block or head. The concentration should never be less than 40%.
4. Before adding coolant, check the tightness of all rubber hose connections.
