Attention: Do not unscrew the plugs on the equalizing tank immediately after turning off the warm engine. This may cause a burn.
1. It is best to drain the coolant when the engine is cold. If this is not possible, it is necessary to cover the expansion tank cap with a rag and slowly unscrew the cap counterclockwise until the pressure decreases.
2. After the final pressure equalization, remove the plug
3. Set the valve to the maximum, then place the appropriate container below the left side of the radiator in 1.1 and 1.3L engines, and also below the right side of the radiator in 1.6 and 1.8L engines.
4. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the lower rubber hose from the radiator return fitting 15 (pic. 2.2). Drain the coolant into a suitable container.
