Caution: If mechanical defects of the turbocharger are detected, for example, the destruction of the pump section wheel, it is not enough to simply replace the turbocharger. To avoid subsequent damage, after carrying out repair work it is necessary to: Check the air filter housing, filter element and air intake hoses for contamination. Check for foreign bodies in the intake tract and intercooler. If found, remove them from the intake tract, replace the intercooler if necessary.
Disconnect the battery terminals. Lift the engine casing at points "1" and remove the casing by moving it forward in the -direction of the arrow-. Unscrew the heat shield above the turbocharger "arrow". Open and close the expansion tank cap to relieve pressure in the cooling system. Drain the coolant. Remove the radiator fan "V7" together with the air intake. Observe the rules for maintaining cleanliness. Remove the connecting hoses "1" and the cooling system hoses "3". Unscrew the bracket "2" and the fastening nuts "4" of the turbocharger.

Unscrew the fastening screw "2" and remove the upper coolant pipe.

Instructions: The lower coolant pipe can only be removed after removing the catalytic converter.
Unscrew bolts "1" and remove the pressure pipe.
Depending on the vehicle configuration, remove the sound insulation or underride guard. Remove the lambda probe wiring after the "G130" catalytic converter and the "arrow" wiring box generator.

Disconnect the lambda probe connector after the "G130" catalytic converter and remove it. Loosen the clamp "3" and remove the boost air pipe "2". Unscrew the exhaust pipe on the "arrows" catalytic converter.

Unscrew the screws of the exhaust pipe of the muffler "arrows",

Loosen the double "arrow" bracket mounting bolts and pull the exhaust pipe back.

Also remove the exhaust pipe with the detachable element. Remove the catalytic converter by moving it downwards. Removing the poly V-belt. Unscrew the tensioner "arrow" fastening screws and remove it.

Remove the air conditioning compressor.
Instructions: The air conditioning system lines are not opened.
Secure the air conditioning compressor to the radiator frame. Avoid kinking the lines. Unscrew the screw securing the "arrow" oil return pipe 2 in the turbocharger.

Pull the oil return pipe down. Unscrew the boost air hose "1" on the turbocharger, Unscrew the hollow screws of the oil supply line "arrows" in the turbocharger and in the timing case.

Remove the oil feed line. Unscrew all the fastening nuts of the exhaust manifold "1". Remove the exhaust manifold with the turbocharger upwards.
Instructions: The turbocharger can only be replaced with the exhaust manifold.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Gaskets, lip seals and self-locking nuts must be replaced. When installing a new turbocharger, also replace the oil feed line. Fill the turbocharger with engine oil through the oil feed line connecting pipe. After installing the turbocharger, let the engine idle for about 1 minute without increasing the speed to ensure proper oil supply to the turbocharger. Degrease the hose connections and turbocharger hoses before installation. Secure all hose connections with clamps corresponding to those installed at the factory. Install the exhaust system and align it without mechanical stress. When installing the air duct pipes with a connector, ensure that the safety clip "arrow" clicks into place in the fastener "A".

Press the engine casing at points "1" in the direction of the arrow downwards until it is fixed at these points by the latches.
