Check condition
The fuel pressure should be correct and the pressure gauge connected.
Fuel pressure check
Switch on the ignition as many times as necessary until the fuel pressure on the gauge stops rising.
Determine the fuel pressure on the pressure gauge. Nominal value 4.0 - 6.0 bar.
Watch the pressure drop on the pressure gauge. After 10 minutes the pressure must be at least 3.0 bar.
If the pressure drops faster, turn on the ignition so many times until the fuel pressure on the gauge stops rising.
Close the pressure gauge valve immediately. The lever must be in position B.
If the pressure drops again, check the fuel line to the high pressure pump for leaks.
If no fault is found, replace the high pressure pump.
If the pressure then does not decrease, check the fuel line to the fuel tank for leaks.
If no fuel line failure is found, the pressure reducing valve in the fuel filter flange is defective, replace the fuel filter flange
