The pressure values for cold tires, under normal load, are as follows:
- for tires size 195/65 R15T:
- front - 260 kPa
- rear - 240 kPa
- for tires size 215/60 R15H:
- front - 230 kPa
- rear - 210 kPa
Tire pressure should be checked regularly - every month. If the tire pressure drops by 1.5% per month, then this is normal, if the value is higher, it is necessary to establish the cause. Air may be leaking through the valve core. If the air pressure in the tire constantly drops with a working core, then, using a special sealant, repair the tire. Special skills and knowledge are required for mounting tires to avoid damage to the tire bead (tire leaks). Therefore, it is recommended to install tires at service stations that have the necessary equipment for this purpose. After installing tires, the wheels should be balanced.

Fig. 11. Checking the tire profile depth
After a certain mileage, the remaining depth of the tire profile should be checked. Tire manufacturers have made a small special tool for this purpose 9 (Fig. 6) - a tire profile depth gauge, which is installed on the tire, as shown in Fig. 11. Based on its readings, you can find out the remaining height of the tread pattern, which, according to the Road Traffic Regulations, should not be less than 1.6 mm.
