Performing the check
Disconnect the ventilation hose by pressing the release button.

Connect the hand vacuum pump as shown in the figure to the ventilation hose (fig. 2.217).

Set the movable ring 1 on the vacuum pump to position A to create a "vacuum" (fig. 2.218).
Operate the hand vacuum pump several times. No underpressure should develop.

Close the vent on the absorber and pump the pump again several times. A negative pressure should form (fig. 2.219).
